3-Ingredient Cranberry Sauce

This cranberry sauce is animal-based friendly and made with just 3 ingredients: cranberries, orange juice, and maple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 3/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup (or raw honey (ASHLEYR for 10% off); I recommend local or Manuka)

Note: this is not my original recipe. Credit to Cook Eat Paleo. While I was doing research on how to make cranberry sauce, I came across her recipe. It was perfect. I couldn’t bring myself to change a single thing!

      Make the cranberry sauce.

      • In your 8″ cooking pan, add the cranberries, orange juice, and maple syrup and bring to medium heat. Stir to incorporate all ingredients evenly.
      • Simmer until the cranberries pop and the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes or so. Stir occasionally.

      Cool the sauce and serve.

      • Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate.
      • Serve cool or at room temperature - whatever you prefer. Enjoy!
      • If there are leftovers, store them in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
